Investigators are trying to determine if a woman who died fell out of a safety restraint while riding a roller coaster, known as the Texas Giant roller coaster - the tallest steel-hybrid coaster in the world.
The incident occured Friday around 6:30 p.m.. This incident sparks the idea of why it is that we do not require the same high safety protocals of theme parks, like Six Flags, as we do the auto industry.
Could this accident have been averted if proper safety guideline, or better yet auto-industry-standard safety mechanisms and software were installed to alert the safety belt not being secured?
