Fearing escalating public fallout, Josh contacts Ben on the phone, offering a deal: swallow your pride, write an official apology letter, delete negative posts, and you can have the inventory back. Recognizing this as an insidious legal trap to obtain a signed confession for court, Ben tests him by providing a deepfaked apology video instead. Josh accepts it but demands a face-to-face apology to manager Amanda. When Ben walks in peacefully, it is revealed to be a setup—Amanda immediately calls 911 to have him jailed for trespassing.
